Speckled dish

The purpose of speckled dish is to serve up savory treats and stories about “home”—especially where “home” is a concept held at arm’s length and scrutinized.

I chose the enamel dish because it reminded me of playing pioneer as a child, when my brother and I would use a platter like this one to create mud cakes, flower tarts and pine needle porridge. Each one a dish from our “home” on the range.
